CHINA-BOUND MOTOR PARTS DEALER EXCRETES 95 WRAPS OF COCAINE- NDLEA

Operatives from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) caught a 62-year–old businessman named Nwabueze Nicholas Izueke at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano. He was trying to go to China and had 95 large packages of cocaine, totaling 1.589 kilograms, hidden in his stomach.
The arrest occurred on Saturday, 31 January 2026, during passenger clearance for Ethiopian Airlines flight ET940 to China via Addis Ababa. “When taken for a body scan, he tested positive for ingesting illicit drugs and was promptly placed under excretion observation. While under observation, he expelled 95 pellets in seven excretions,” NDLEA stated.
Izueke, who says he owns a clothing and auto parts store in Lagos, admitted to moving cocaine to get money for a country house in Iwollo, Enugu State.
In other cases, NDLEA found 627.7 kilograms of skunk (cannabis) at a temporary warehouse in Kubwa, FCT.
The agency also stopped people named Ebube Okeke, Evans Ugwu, Mohammed Eze Arinze, and Friday Michael from smuggling methamphetamine hidden inside MP3 speakers from Enugu to Abuja and Kaduna, and they were arrested between 6th and 7th February.

On 6th February, officers found 1.8 kilograms of meth hidden in Hollandia yogurt boxes being sent from Lagos to Mubi, Adamawa State, and the suspect, Yusuf Abubakar, 32, is in custody.
In Oyo State, NDLEA arrested Shuaibu Abdulrahman, 29, with 149.6 kilograms of skunk.
In Ibadan, they also caught Adeniyi Adeola (also known as Prince) with over 128,000 units of tramadol and pentazocine.
Another major drug dealer, Jimoh Nurudeen, 40, was arrested in Ibadan along with his helper Ogundipe Yusuf, 27, and they were found with 8 liters of chemicals used to make synthetic cannabis, along with cannabis, cash, and vehicles used in production.
In Kwara State, NDLEA found 395,400 tramadol pills hidden in a fuel tanker traveling from Lagos to Maiduguri.
In Imo and Ondo states, they seized 203kg and 420kg of skunk respectively. The Marine Command stopped a suspect arriving from Côte d’Ivoire and found 31 wraps of cocaine in Badagry, Lagos.
Other drug seizures included Canadian Loud and Colorado cannabis from Adekunle Oluwatosin Olajide in Lagos, and various other drugs from Emeka Okeke in Enugu.
