FAITHIA WILLIAMS’ MOTHER DIES ON EVE OF ACTRESS’ 55TH BIRTHDAY

Nollywood actress Faithia Williams has confirmed the passing of her mother, revealing that the sad news was deliberately withheld from her until after she had celebrated her 55th birthday.

In an emotional message posted on her Instagram page on Monday, the actress revealed that her mother died on the eve of the birthday party she marked on Thursday, February 5, a fact she said she did not know at the time.

“Unbeknownst to me, my beloved mother died on the eve of my party, and the news was cruelly kept away from me,” she wrote.

Faithia paid tribute to her late mother, describing her as her “cheerleader, prayer warrior, best friend, and gist partner,” while noting that the reality of the loss has not yet fully dawned on her.

The actress said the Williams family has decided to maintain privacy at this time, drawing strength from their faith and appealing to the public for prayers and support.

“Your love and prayers will mean a lot to me and my siblings this period. Burial details will be announced later,” she added.

Following the announcement, messages of condolence have continued to pour in from colleagues and fans within the entertainment industry.

Actress Aisha Lawal wrote, “Allahu Olóhun a te won si afefe rere. So sorry, ma.”

Salami Rotimi commented, “Condolences ma.”

“Awwwww…. So sorry darling. Please take heart. May her sweet and gentle soul rest in eternal perfect peace” actor Muyiwa Ademola wrote.

Wunmi Toriola also expressed her sympathy, saying, “Oh no… Only God can comfort you as i cant imagine how this will hit you. May God rest her soul.”
