JUST IN: THOMAS FRANK SACKED AS TOTTENHAM HEAD COACH AMID RELEGATION FEARS

Tottenham Hotspur have sacked head coach Thomas Frank, according to reports by respected journalist David Ornstein on February 11.

Ornstein disclosed that the 52-year-old Dane has been relieved of his duties as Spurs struggle in the Premier League.

“Thomas Frank sacked as Tottenham Hotspur head coach. THFC working through various possible contingency plans to replace 52yo Dane as club sit 14th in Premier League – 5 points above relegation zone after 2 wins from 17 matches,” Ornstein reported.

Frank’s dismissal comes with Tottenham enduring a difficult league campaign. The North London club currently sit 14th in the Premier League table, just five points above the relegation zone, having recorded only two wins in their last 17 matches.

The club is now understood to be working through various contingency plans as they search for a replacement to steer the team away from further decline and stabilize their season.

Announcing the decision in a statement on Wednesday, February 11, the club confirmed that Frank will leave his role with immediate effect.

“The Club has taken the decision to make a change in the Men’s Head Coach position and Thomas Frank will leave today.

“Thomas was appointed in June 2025, and we have been determined to give him the time and support needed to build for the future together.

“However, results and performances have led the Board to conclude that a change at this point in the season is necessary.

“Throughout his time at The Club, Thomas has conducted himself with unwavering commitment, giving everything in his efforts to move the Club forward. We would like to thank him for his contribution and wish him every success in the future”, the statement added.

Frank, 52, was appointed in June 2025 but struggled to turn around the club’s fortunes. Spurs currently sit 14th in the Premier League table, just five points above the relegation zone, having managed only two wins in their last 17 matches.

The North London side are now expected to begin the search for a replacement as they aim to stabilise their season and avoid being dragged deeper into a relegation battle.
