I’M STILL NURTW PRESIDENT – MC OLUOMO RESPONDS TO BARUWA AFTER SECRETARIAT TAKEOVER

Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, widely known as MC Oluomo, has reaffirmed that he remains the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
MC Oluomo issued a statement on Monday in response to reports that Tajudeen Baruwa had taken over NURTW’s national secretariat.
Baruwa had cited court rulings, claiming they supported his actions.
However, in a statement shared on his Instagram page, MC Oluomo described the incident as a “forceful takeover” and emphasized that the proper legal processes are still ongoing.
The statement read:
“The National President wishes to inform members of the union and the general public that he was not a defendant in the alleged judgment.
“The judgment has been appealed, and a stay of execution has been properly filed.
“He has not engaged with Mr. Baruwa or any other individual, knowing that the matter is still before the courts.
“The situation remains under the supervision of security agencies.
“Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya continues to serve as the National President of NURTW.”
