Gospel singer and Nollywood soundtrack voice, Onos Brisibi, has died at the age of 55.

Brisibi, known for her powerful and unmistakable vocals in Nollywood classics such as Domitilla and Blood Money, passed away on March 23, 2026, after a prolonged illness.

Her death was announced in an emotional Instagram tribute by veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), who described her as a devout Christian and a gifted vocalist whose music touched many lives.

“It’s hard to put into words the loss we feel,” he wrote.

“My dear sister and cousin, Onos Nancy Brisibi, went to be with the Lord on March 23rd, 2026, after a long and difficult illness.”

RMD highlighted her deep faith, describing her as “love in human form” and a songstress whose voice carried light and joy. He noted that her music went beyond performance, serving as a ministry that uplifted hearts and drew people closer to God.

Born on November 20, 1970, to Apostle Ambrose Oproze Brisibi and Deaconess Mary Koko Brisibi of Aladja, Udu in Delta State, she was celebrated for her warmth, generosity, and strong spiritual devotion.

Her passing marks the loss of a cherished voice in Nigeria’s gospel and film industry, leaving behind a legacy of faith, music, and inspiration.
