Nollywood actress Sunshine Rosman has sounded the alarm over the escalating hardship, insecurity, and poverty in Nigeria, questioning when both citizens and leaders will take decisive action.

In an emotional statement, Rosman highlighted the country’s worsening economic situation, the rising poverty rate, and the ongoing loss of lives due to violent attacks, particularly in parts of Northern Nigeria.

Speaking tearfully, she noted that Nigerians seem to have normalized suffering despite the severity of the crisis.

“When are we going to wake up as Nigerians? When will it finally be enough?” she asked.

Rosman emphasized that while economic challenges are already overwhelming, the continuous killings and displacement of innocent people make the situation even more distressing.

“We can’t even begin to discuss the economy right now—the poverty rate, the lack of infrastructure in this country,” she said. “But as if that’s not bad enough, innocent people are being slaughtered.”

The actress also expressed concern over communities being forced to abandon their homes due to insecurity, noting that many citizens feel abandoned and unprotected.

“Lives are being lost for nothing, and people have to migrate from their towns, homes and villages because they know that nothing will be done,” Rosman lamented.

Rosman further urged Nigerians not to remain silent in the face of the growing hardship and insecurity affecting the country.

“Nigeria’s hardship, insecurity and suffering can no longer be ignored,” she added.

Her comments come amid the tragic deaths, attacks and loss of properties in many parts of the country.
