FINTRI ORDERS IMMEDIATE PROMOTION AND PAYMENT OF BENEFITS FOR CIVIL SERVANTS

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has directed the immediate implementation of long-overdue promotions for civil servants, assuring that all affected workers will receive their financial entitlements before the end of May.
He gave the directive while receiving leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Adamawa State chapter, on a courtesy visit to the Government House in Yola.
The governor instructed the state Accountant-General to promptly process and disburse all outstanding payments once promotion records are updated, reiterating his administration’s commitment to workers’ welfare.
Fintiri also restated that policies aimed at improving the conditions of civil servants remain a top priority, stressing that effective career advancement and better welfare are essential to strengthening public service delivery and promoting inclusive governance in the state.
