Nigeria’s Super Eagles have qualified for next year’s African Nations Cup in Cameroon after playing a 1-1 draw with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Saturday.
Nigeria went ahead in the early hours of the game with an own goal by a South African defender chesting in Samuel Kalu’s brilliant cross.
South Africa came back into the game with a beautiful goal in the 25th minute.
The Super Eagles were however denied two legal goals with the referee ruling for offside.
The South African team will now need to avoid defeat in their last group match against Libya.
