A 7 MONTH –OLD BABY BOY FOUND IN A CATHOLIC CHURCH IN ANAMBRA
The Anambra State police command’s spokesperson, SP Haruna Mohammed in a press release made available to journalists in Awka, made it known that a seven month-old baby boy abandoned and foundin a Catholic Church in Umudim Nnewi was brought to Nnewi divisional Police Station on 12/11/2018 at about 450pm.
Mohammed noted that a Rev. Father Christopher Ezimo, Male of St. Martin Deporres Catholic Church Umudim, Nnewi brought the seven months old sick baby boy said to have been abandoned inside the Church by unknown person to the station on that fateful day.
He said after due investigation by Police operatives attached to juvenile and welfare unit of the division, the baby was taken to Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi where he is receiving medical treatment at the moment. Adding that the case is under investigation to known the situation that surrounds the incident, also effort are been made to trace the biological mother of the baby.
The command therefore prayed the Public to approach her with relevant information that could help trace the parents of the child
