ADAMAWA CAR CRASH CLAIMS SIX LIVES

The Adamawa State Police Command confirmed the incident in a statement issued on Friday by its spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje.
Nguroje said preliminary findings showed that six people lost their lives in the crash.
He stated, “The victims were rushed to a hospital where they were confirmed dead.
“Police operatives from Girei Divisional Headquarters, Federal Housing and the Central Motor Traffic Division were immediately mobilised to the scene to evacuate the victims and restore the normal flow of traffic.”
The Commissioner of Police, CP Kabir Hassan, expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and prayed for the repose of their souls.
Hassan also appealed for calm, urging motorists to exercise caution, obey traffic regulations and avoid speeding to prevent further loss of lives.
The incident is the fourth accident recorded along the Yola-Girei Road in less than a month, with more than 10 people reportedly killed in the crashes.
