APC NATIONAL SECRETARY COMMENDS INEC, VOTERS AS OSUN POLL RECORDS EARLY TURNOUT

The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Ajibola Basiru, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission for the timely deployment of election materials and personnel for Saturday’s Osun State governorship election.
Basiru spoke after casting his ballot at Ward 7, Unit 3, in Osogbo Local Government Area of the state.
He praised INEC for what he described as a smooth deployment of electoral personnel and materials to polling units across the state.
“I commend INEC for the timely deployment of election materials and personnel to polling centres across the state,” Basiru said.
The APC national secretary also commended voters for turning out early and in large numbers to exercise their franchise.
According to him, the turnout demonstrated the commitment of Osun residents to democratic participation.
“I also commend voters for turning out in large numbers to participate in the electoral process. The turnout is an indication of the people’s commitment to democracy,” he added.
