BARCELONA THRASH VALENCIA 5-0 TO MOVE CLEAR AT LALIGA SUMMIT

Barcelona have moved two points clear at the top of LaLiga after thrashing Valencia 5-0 on Sunday.
The Spanish champions capitalised on Real Madrid’s 1-0 defeat to Real Betis the previous day, which handed them an early opportunity to open a gap in the title race. Hansi Flick’s side seized the chance emphatically.
Lamine Yamal opened the scoring in the sixth minute, with Fermín López adding a second before half-time. In the second half, Raphinha, Pedri and Yamal again found the net as Barcelona dominated at the Mestalla.
The result leaves Barcelona on 12 points from four matches. Alavés sit second on 10 points, while Real Madrid occupy third place with nine.
