CHERUBIM & SERAPHIM WORLDWIDE SPIRITUAL LEADER EMMANUEL ALOGBO DIES AT 93

The Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Ayo Ni O, has announced the passing of its Spiritual Father, His Most Eminence Emmanuel Alogbo, who died at the age of 93.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the church’s Secretary-General, Prophet Anthony Olusesan Samaye, said Alogbo died peacefully at his Lagos residence in the early hours of the day.

According to the statement, the revered cleric passed away at about 2:10 a.m. in the presence of members of his family and domestic staff.

“With gratitude to God Almighty for a life well spent, on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the entire church, I write to inform you all that our Spiritual Father… was called to glory in the early hours of today, July 30, 2026, at about 2:10 a.m.,” the statement read.

The church described Alogbo as a dedicated spiritual leader who devoted his life to the service of God and humanity.

As part of the mourning activities, the church announced that prayer sessions would be held daily for seven days from 5 p.m. at his residence on Plot 1, Alogbo Close, off Ahmadiyya Bus Stop, Ijaiye-Ojokoro, Lagos.

It added that details of the burial arrangements would be announced in due course.

The statement also called on members to remain steadfast in faith while praying for the repose of the late cleric’s soul.

“May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may God grant the church the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” it added.

Alogbo led the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, one of Nigeria’s leading indigenous Christian denominations, and was widely regarded as one of the country’s longest-serving church leaders.

During his tenure, he played a key role in the church’s spiritual development and expansion across Nigeria and beyond.

His passing marks the end of a significant era in the history of the church, with members expected to gather in the coming days to honour his memory.
