DSS OPENS RECRUITMENT FOR CADETS, JUNIOR CADETS ACROSS STATES

The Department of State Services (DSS) has announced the commencement of recruitment into its Cadet and Junior Cadet positions, inviting interested and qualified Nigerians to apply through their respective state command headquarters.
According to the guidelines, applicants for the Cadet cadre must be indigenes of the state from which they are applying, aged between 20 and 30 years, and possess a minimum of five O’Level credits, including English Language, obtained in one sitting. Candidates are also required to hold at least a Second Class Lower (2:2) BSc degree or its equivalent, have a minimum height of 1.60 metres, and provide a valid National Identification Number (NIN). Female applicants must be single, while all applicants are expected to attach their Curriculum Vitae (CV) to their handwritten application.

For the Junior Cadet cadre, eligibility is open to candidates aged 18–27 years with a minimum of five O’Level credits, including English Language, in one sitting. Applicants must also meet the minimum height requirement of 1.60 metres, provide their NIN, and attach photocopies of relevant documents. Female applicants are similarly required to be single.
The DSS stated that all applications must be handwritten and submitted at the DSS Command Headquarters in the applicant’s state of origin.
