The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has engaged members of the International Airlines Association of Nigeria as part of efforts to strengthen protocol services and improve passenger experience at airports across the country.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued by FAAN on Sunday through its official X handle.
According to the statement, the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Henry Agbebire, met with representatives of the association during an interactive session held at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
The meeting focused on improving collaboration between airport authorities and airline operators, while also addressing operational concerns affecting passengers and airport services.
Agbebire explained that the session was aimed at fostering stronger cooperation between the Department of Protocol and Passages and airline operators.
He noted that the engagement also created an opportunity for airlines to present some of the challenges affecting their operations.
During the meeting, airline representatives reportedly raised concerns over inadequate signage linked to ongoing landside construction works, insufficient lifts, shuttle bus difficulties, and issues relating to airside ramp markings affected by ongoing construction activities.
The airlines also requested greater support from the authority to enhance customer experience at the airports.
Responding to the concerns, Agbebire assured stakeholders that all complaints and observations raised during the engagement would be carefully reviewed.
He stated that the authority would assess the issues with a view to improving service delivery and operational standards across airports nationwide.
FAAN reiterated its commitment to enhancing airport operations and ensuring better experiences for passengers and airline operators alike.
