Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has denied reports claiming he has defected to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), insisting that he remains a loyal member of the ruling party.

Ganduje described the posters circulating on social media alleging his defection as false and politically motivated, saying they were designed to mislead the public and create confusion among APC members and supporters.

In a statement issued by his former Commissioner for Information and Chief of Staff, Muhammad Garba, the former Kano State governor said he had never contemplated leaving the APC, the party he once led as National Chairman.

He maintained that claims linking him to the NDC were baseless and lacked both political and logical justification.

Ganduje further stated that the APC remains Nigeria’s largest political party and continues to attract more support under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.

He reaffirmed his commitment to working with the party’s leadership in advancing the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The former APC chairman also disclosed that those behind the production and circulation of the alleged defection posters had been identified, warning that legal action would be taken if the materials were not withdrawn and the misinformation did not cease immediately.

He urged APC members, supporters and the general public to ignore the posters, insisting that they do not represent his political position or future plans.
