GOV UBA SANI VISITS FAMILY OF SLAIN UMMULKHAIRI, VOWS JUSTICE

The governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, visited the family of Ummulkhairi Usman Aliyu in Maraban Jos to express his condolences.He promised that all those responsible for her death will be held accountable.

The governor, who talked to the deceased’s husband, Malam Aliyu, and other family members, shared his deep sympathy and prayed for Ummulkhairi’s soul to find peace.He also asked Almighty Allah to give the grieving family the courage and patience to deal with their loss.

Speaking during the visit, Governor Sani reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring justice is served, stressing that security agencies were pursuing every available lead to apprehend all those involved in the crime.
“I want to assure the family that those responsible for this heinous act will be identified, arrested and prosecuted. No one connected with this tragic incident will escape the full weight of the law,” the governor said.

He disclosed that 41 suspects have already been arraigned for culpable homicide, while another 30 suspects have been charged with unlawful assembly.
According to him, 17 persons who were not found culpable have been released, while 41 others remain under investigation as security agencies intensify efforts to arrest additional suspects still at large.

The governor also assured the family that investigations remain ongoing and that any police officer found to have been directly or indirectly involved in the incident would face appropriate legal sanctions.

Governor Sani further announced that the Kaduna State Government would take full responsibility for the education and welfare of the children left behind by the deceased.
He said the government’s response would go beyond words of sympathy, stressing that compassion, justice and concrete action would guide its intervention in support of the bereaved family.

The visit comes amid sustained public concern over the circumstances surrounding Ummulkhairi’s death, with the state government reiterating its resolve to ensure justice is done and seen to be done.
