JIMOH SECURES APC HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY TICKET FOR IBADAN NORTH WEST

Teslim Babatunde Jimoh has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Ibadan North West State Constituency seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly.
The primary election, held on Wednesday across the 11 electoral wards in the constituency, saw Jimoh secure 1,218 votes to defeat Adams Adebayo Yusuf, who garnered 859 votes.
The exercise was monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission and security operatives, while the results have since been submitted to INEC.
A party leader in Ibadan North West Local Government Area, Adekunle Abass Akande, described the outcome as a clear reflection of the wishes of party members.
Speaking on Thursday, Akande praised the peaceful conduct of the election and urged all aspirants and their supporters to rally behind the winner for the unity and progress of the party.
