The sanctions stem from information provided to the Premier League by the consortium led by American businessman Todd Boehly following their takeover of Chelsea from Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich in 2022.
The Premier League confirmed that the penalties were imposed after an investigation into regulatory breaches that occurred prior to and during the club’s ownership transition.
