KWAM 1’S VIRAL STAGE REMARK FUELS REACTIONS OVER PATERNITY ALLEGATIONS

Fuji music star Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1 or K1 De Ultimate, has sparked reactions on social media after a video surfaced showing him singing about an “unnecessary pregnancy” during a live performance, days after a woman accused him of abandoning her and their 12-year-old daughter.
The controversy follows a viral interview with Feel Right TV in which Ogechi Eleana alleged that the singer refused to acknowledge or support their daughter, Azeezat.
Eleana, a graduate of Lagos State University, said she worked as KWAM 1’s manicurist and pedicurist before they began a relationship that lasted more than seven years.
She claimed she became pregnant during the relationship and informed the Fuji star, who allegedly advised her to terminate the pregnancy and promised to send money through an aide for the abortion. According to her, the money never arrived.
Eleana further alleged that after she decided to keep the pregnancy, the singer cut off communication with her.

She said she later sought the intervention of the late Kabiru Agbabiaka, who reportedly contacted KWAM 1 on her behalf while they were at a palace, but alleged that the singer denied knowing her.
Eleana also claimed she later met the singer’s late mother, who became emotional after seeing the child and remarked that the girl bore a strong resemblance to her.
Speaking in the same interview, Azeezat said she last saw KWAM 1 on July 30, 2025, in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, where she alleged he denied knowing them. She appealed to the singer to provide financial support.
Meanwhile, during a performance at the 10th coronation anniversary of the Onikate of Ikate, Oba Lateef Adams, KWAM 1 made comments that have since gone viral.
Addressing the audience, the singer asked them to turn on their phones’ Bluetooth and visit TikTok and Facebook before singing, “Anybody who has an unnecessary pregnancy is just like a giveaway.”
As the crowd reacted, he added, “These children, don’t kill me. Go and say it on TikTok.”
KWAM 1 did not state that the performance was a response to the allegations against him and has not publicly addressed the paternity claim or the accusations made by Eleana.
