LAGOS GRADUATES 6,190 BENEFICIARIES FROM 20 SKILLS ACQUISITION CENTRES

The Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, has graduated 6,190 beneficiaries who completed various vocational and skills acquisition programmes across the state’s 20 skills acquisition centres.
The graduation ceremony, held at the De-Blue Roof, Lagos Television (LTV) 8, Agidingbi, Ikeja, brought together government officials, graduands, their families, instructors, community leaders and other stakeholders to celebrate the beneficiaries’ achievements.
The initiative is part of the state government’s efforts to empower residents, particularly women and other vulnerable groups, with practical vocational skills capable of improving their economic independence and strengthening household incomes.
The programme is also designed to promote self-reliance and create opportunities for beneficiaries to establish small businesses or secure employment using the skills acquired during their training.
The graduation marks another step in the government’s drive to expand access to vocational education and provide residents with the tools needed to participate more actively in the state’s economy.
