MARY HABILA: WE DON’T WANT AUTOPSY, DEATH CAN OCCUR ANYTIME — FATHER OF LATE NURSE

Mr. Tanko Habila Wisdom, father of the late Mary Habila, a nurse who allegedly died at the residence of the Minister of Works, David Umahi, has insisted on burying his daughter, saying there is no need for an autopsy.
It was reported that there have been calls for a forensic investigation into the circumstances surrounding the health worker’s death.
In a bid to clear his name, the minister had also directed that an autopsy be conducted on the body.
However, speaking with journalists on Friday, the deceased’s father said his culture forbids keeping the body of a young person for long, insisting that his daughter should be buried.
“I don’t have much to say on this matter; all I want is the body of my daughter. We don’t keep the body of a little child for long.
“I need the corpse of my daughter. That is what I am standing on. She had a cordial relationship both at her workplace and everywhere.
“We don’t want the autopsy that they are talking about. I am not suspecting anybody because death can occur anytime. Even as I am standing here, someone can fall here now and die,” he said.
