NDA RELEASES LIST OF SUCCESSFUL, RESERVE CANDIDATES FOR 78TH REGULAR COURSE

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has released the list of successful and reserve candidates selected for admission into its 78th Regular Combatant Course (78RC).

The Academy disclosed this in a statement signed by its Registrar, Brigadier General OA Ogunleye, and published on its official X handle on Wednesday.

According to the NDA, the Armed Forces Selection Board exercise for the 78 Regular Course was conducted between July 4 and August 19, 2026, after which successful candidates were offered admission into the Academy.

The selected candidates are expected to report to the NDA Ribadu Campus (Old Site), Kaduna, on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

The Academy warned that candidates who fail to report by Monday, September 14, 2026, will forfeit their admission.

It clarified that only candidates on the successful list are required to report physically, adding that reserve candidates may be called upon when the need arises through their registered email addresses and telephone numbers.

The NDA directed successful candidates to report with the original copies of their credentials, including First School Leaving Certificate, Primary School Testimonial, WAEC/NECO results, Senior Secondary School Testimonial, Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age and Letter of State of Origin.

Candidates are also required to present the original, duly endorsed Parent/Guardian Consent Form, as photocopies of the document will not be accepted.

The Academy warned that candidates who fail to present the required original documents will not be admitted.

In addition to their credentials, successful candidates are expected to come with specified clothing, footwear, sportswear, bedding and personal effects, including black and white trousers, a dark-coloured lounge suit, national dress, cover shoes, canvas shoes, football boots, hockey sticks, shirts, socks, bed sheets and a pressing iron.

Female candidates are required to bring additional items, including black low-heel cover shoes, dark-coloured lounge skirts, black or blue short tights and trouser suits.

The NDA also directed all selected candidates to upload their O’Level results on the JAMB portal before reporting to the Academy.

Candidates who were not offered their preferred academic departments are expected to log into the JAMB portal to effect the necessary change.

Similarly, all successful candidates must accept their admission through the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) before reporting.

The Academy further warned that selected candidates would not be permitted to receive visitors or leave the Academy during the first three months of their training.

The NDA urged all successful candidates and their parents to comply strictly with the admission requirements and reporting instructions.
