POLICE ARREST FIVE IN BAUCHI OVER ALLEGED MONEY RITUAL ACTIVITIES

The Nigeria Police Force has arrested five suspects in Bauchi after operatives of Zone 12 reportedly recovered two suspected human eyes and other items believed to be linked to ritual activities from their possession.
The Zone 12 Police Public Relations Officer, SP Jalige Mohammed, disclosed this in a statement.
Mohammed said the suspects were arrested on August 26 by operatives attached to the Intelligence Unit of the Zone 12 Headquarters in Bauchi.
According to him, the operation led to the recovery of two suspected human eyes, pieces of red and white cloth and other materials suspected to be connected with money rituals.
The suspects were identified as Abdullahi Idris, Sani Haruna, Auwal Umar, Abubakar Yusuf and Sharu Sale.
The police spokesperson said the suspects were undergoing interrogation as detectives continued investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the recovered items, including their source.
He added that efforts were ongoing to establish whether other individuals were involved in the alleged activities.
The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 12, Vungmoh S. M. Kwaimo, expressed concern over the incident and urged residents to remain vigilant and provide useful information to security agencies.
He assured members of the public that the police would sustain operations aimed at dismantling criminal networks within the zone and protecting lives and property.
