The National Youth Service Corps has announced September 8 to 12, 2026, for the physical verification of credentials and travel documents of foreign-trained Nigerian graduates participating in the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream I service year.

The NYSC disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, directing prospective corps members whose credentials and travel documents are yet to be physically verified to report at designated centres on the dates and times indicated on their verification slips.

The scheme urged affected graduates to adhere strictly to their assigned dates and venues to prevent overcrowding and ensure a smooth exercise.

The verification will take place at nine centres across the country in Enugu, Bauchi, the Federal Capital Territory, Kano, Lagos, Osun, Rivers, Sokoto and Adamawa.

The centres include the NYSC Secretariat on Abakaliki Road, Enugu; Shadawanka Military Barracks, Bauchi; NYSC Orientation Camp, Kubwa, Abuja; Bukavu Military Barracks, Fagge, Kano; and the NYSC Orientation Camp, Iyanapaja, Lagos.

Others are the NYSC Secretariat in Osogbo, Osun State; NYSC Secretariat, Port Harcourt, Rivers State; Eagle Officers’ Mess, Giginya Cantonment, Sokoto; and the NYSC Secretariat at the Federal Secretariat Complex, Yola, Adamawa State.

The NYSC said prospective corps members must present the original copies of all credentials and travel documents uploaded, or required to be uploaded, during online registration.

Foreign-trained medical graduates were also directed to present their professional licences, registration certificates and other relevant documents issued by their regulatory bodies.

The scheme further instructed affected graduates to submit original Evaluation Letters issued by the Federal Ministry of Education at the NYSC Headquarters in Abuja and upload acknowledged copies online.

The NYSC warned that only prospective corps members who are physically present with their credentials and successfully verified and cleared will be deployed, exempted or excluded from national service.

The physical verification remains a compulsory requirement for eligible foreign-trained Nigerian graduates seeking to participate in the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream I service year.
