OGUN POLICE DEBUNK CURFEW RUMOURS, ASSURE RESIDENTS OF PEACEFUL SECURITY SITUATION

The Ogun State Police Command has dismissed reports alleging the imposition of a curfew or restriction of movement across the state, describing them as false and misleading.
In a statement issued under the leadership of Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, the Command assured residents that the security situation in Ogun remains calm and under control, with adequate deployment of personnel and operational resources across strategic locations to maintain law and order and safeguard lives and property.
The Police urged members of the public to disregard unverified reports capable of causing panic and to continue their daily activities without fear.
Residents were also encouraged to report suspicious activities or security concerns through the Command’s emergency lines, including the Gateway Shield toll-free number: 0800 000 9111, as well as 0906 283 7609, 0912 014 1706, 0915 102 7369, and 0708 497 2994.
The statement was signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, on behalf of the Ogun State Police Command, Eleweran, Abeokuta.
