OSUN DECIDES 2026: AREGBESOLA LOSES POLLING UNIT TO APC AS ACCORD WINS PDP TREASURER’S UNIT

The National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rauf Aregbesola, lost his polling unit in Ifofin Ward 8, Unit 1, Ilesa East Local Government Area, to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Saturday’s Osun governorship election.
Aregbesola cast his vote at the polling unit on Saturday afternoon as voters turned out in large numbers for the election, which was largely peaceful.
According to the result obtained by our correspondent, the APC secured 256 votes at the unit, while the ADC garnered 13 votes.
The ruling party in the state, Accord, got 43 votes.
At Ward 1, Unit 2, Ibokun NUD Primary School, Obokun Local Government Area, where the National Treasurer of the Peoples Democratic Party, Diran Odeyemi, voted, the Accord Party polled 211 votes, while the APC got 178 votes.
As of the time of filing this report, collation of results was ongoing across the state.
