OSUN DECIDES 2026: I SEE JOY WRITTEN ALL OVER MY FATHER’S FACE

Singer and businessman B-Red, the son of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has expressed confidence in his father’s chances as the governorship election results continue to be collated.

B-Red shared his optimism in a post on X on Saturday evening, shortly after the collation process began.

According to the singer, he could see the excitement and happiness on his father’s face as the election progressed.

“Sitting with my dad and I can see the joy and happiness on his face… 4 + 4 = 8 OSUN,” he wrote.

Adeleke is seeking re-election on the platform of the Accord Party after leaving the Peoples Democratic Party.

He is facing major contenders including the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, and the African Democratic Congress candidate, Najeem Salaam.

The election is being held across the state’s 30 Local Government Areas and 3,763 polling units.

Voting was largely peaceful across several parts of the state, despite isolated incidents involving BVAS accreditation challenges, alleged voter inducement and disruptions at some polling locations.

Earlier, Adeleke had appealed to security agencies to ensure the safety of voters, election officials and collation centres. He also urged residents to remain calm and allow the electoral process to proceed without interference.

B-Red’s post comes as the governor and his supporters await the outcome of the closely contested governorship election.
