PICTORIAL: AU, AFRIMA UNVEIL 10TH EDITION CALENDAR IN LOS ANGELES

The African Union and the International Executive Committee of the All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA, have unveiled the global calendar for the 10th edition of the awards in Los Angeles, United States.

The unveiling took place during the 10th AFRIMA Creative Industry Roundtable and Global Calendar Unveiling held at Sofitel in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.

AFRIMA President/Executive Producer, Mike Dada, announced that the 10th edition’s main events would be held in Lagos, Nigeria, from May 18 to 23, 2027, culminating in the grand awards ceremony on May 23.

He also announced that entries for the awards would open worldwide on October 11, 2026, and close on January 10, 2027.

“The journey will culminate in Lagos with the 10th AFRIMA Main Events from May 18 to 23, 2027, and the grand awards ceremony on May 23,” Dada announced.

The event brought together African and American artistes, creatives, industry stakeholders, and media personalities as AFRIMA unveiled its roadmap for the 10th edition and its international #Road2AFRIMA10Xperience programme.
