WEDDING PHOTOS SURFACE OF PILOT KILLED IN MILITARY PLANE CRASH

This is Squadron Leader Ahamefule Man-Ugwueje, the pilot who was mentioned in the first reports as part of the crew of the Nigerian Air Force ATR-42 plane that crashed in Igbokoda, Ondo State, on October 5, 2026.
Man-Ugwueje was the son of retired Group Captain Man-Ugwueje. He had married his wife, Flight Lieutenant Damilola Adekunle, on September 19th.She is the daughter of the late Wing Commander O.E.Adekunle.Both of their families have a long history of serving in the military.
Unfortunately, just more than two weeks after their wedding, while they were still on their honeymoon, Squadron Leader Man-Ugwueje died while doing his duty for his country.
Sqn Ldr Ugwueje was one of the 32 people on the plane — 25 passengers and 7 crew members — who sadly lost their lives in the crash.
He is survived by his young wife, his parents, and his family. May God comfort them and give him peace.
