Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has mocked African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, following an attack on him in Ekiti State.

Olayinka challenged Sowore to visit Obalende, Ojota or Oshodi motor parks in Lagos State and describe President Bola Tinubu as a criminal to see how people would react.

Sowore and some of his supporters were reportedly attacked during an outing in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.

Reacting to the incident in a post on X on Sunday, Olayinka suggested that the reaction would have been different if the victim were a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He claimed that Nigerians would have celebrated the incident if an APC chieftain had been attacked instead of Sowore.

Olayinka wrote, “Imagine it was a prominent APC supporter that chopped MORO in Ekiti over the weekend.

“The story would have been; ‘ANGRY Nigerians attack APC Chieftain In Ekiti.’ They would have celebrated it.

“My own is, next, Sowore should try and go to Obalende, Ojota or Oshodi Motor Park in Lagos to go and call President Tinubu a criminal, I wan check something.”
