Julius Agwu: I’ll Never Do Politics Again
Veteran comedian cum Actor, Julius Agwu contested in 2015 general elections in Nigeria. The Entertainer aspired to be the Governor of River State but later opted out few weeks to the primaries. There were speculations that he was threatened by more powerful aspirants of same position. However, the Ikwere, Rivers- State Born ribs-cracker who miraculously survived a brain surgery vowed that he will never be a part of politics again in Nigeria. Giving his reason, Julius said, “I’ll never do politics again. I’m now fully into comedy evangelism and entertainment. Nigeria is in serious mess. I know Buhari has a mission and the present situation of the economy is affecting all of us. I believe we should feel the pains now and enjoy the dividends later.” The comedian also announced the Rebirth of his show, Life As I See It’, which would be hosted by world famous comedian and Presenter, Steve Harvey. The comedy show which would be held at Eko Convention Center on Sunday, February 7, 2016 also witness the great performance of other international and Nigerian artistes in the likes of Eddy Kaddy, Onyeka Onwenu, Seyi Brown, Buchi, Senator, Dan D Humuorus, Mimiko, Bez, Waje, Yinka Ayefele, BankyW and some others.
