“Buhari’ll Call for Breakup in Nigeria If Oil Is Discovered In The North Nigeria” -Femi Fani-Kayode

Former minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, on Thursday claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari will readily allow the disintegration of the country, if crude oil is discovered in commercial quantity in the Northern part of the country.
Recall that the Federal Government had in May promised to commence oil drilling activities in the Chad Basin beginning from the third quarter of 2016. It handed a directive to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, to resume oil search in that region, which lead to the reported commencement of oil exploration activities in the North-East.
Reacting to the report which was in the news last week, Fani-Kayode, in a post on his Facebook page, said, “My prayer for Nigeria is that oil is found in commercial quantities in the core north. I am glad that Buhari is looking for it desperately.

“If he finds it, he and the north will be the first to call for a breakup of the country. If he fails to find it they will continue to be the greatest obstacle to the restructuring of our nation and they will continue to provide the greatest opposition to the peaceful division of our country.
“Why? Because without southern oil the north is nothing.”
The PDP 2015 campaign spokesman, who was disappointed at the level of betrayal he has experienced in the past few months, wrote: “The betrayal that I have suffered from the least expected quarters in the last three months is heart-breaking. I thought I had seen and heard it all until this.
“Thankfully the Holy Bible says ‘he who repays good with evil, evil will never leave his household’.
“I leave them to God. Destiny speaks at the end.”
