OBI WINS ALL 17 LGAS IN ENUGU

Mr Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, was proclaimed the victor of Saturday’s presidential election in Enugu State.
Obi received 428,640 votes to overcome other candidates, with the Peoples Democratic Party’s Atiku Abubakar and his All Progressives Congress opponent Bola Tinubu finishing second and third, respectively, with 15,749 and 4772 votes.
Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, received 1,808 votes to finish fifth.
The results of the presidential election in Enugu State were declared by Professor Maduebibisi Iwe, Vice Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike.
According to him, a total of 2,112,793 voters were registered for the election, while accredited voters for the election were 482,990.
APC = 4772, LP = 428,640, PDP = 15,749, and NNPP = 1808.
Iwe noticed that the total number of legitimate votes is 456,424, the total number of rejected votes is 12,467, and the overall number of votes cast is 468,891.
The Labour Party also swept all 17 local government areas in the state.
