An Ogba Magistrate Court in Lagos has ordered the remand of Fred Azeez Okuno, Lucky Micheal Idudu and Adedigba Segun over the alleged murder of Adeniyi Sani, an aide to Senator Solomon Adeola known as Yayi.
The presiding Magistrate, Temitope Oladele, who didn’t take the plea of the suspects for want of jurisdiction, ordered that the three accused should be remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional center for 30days.
She said, “The three suspects to be remanded at the Kirikiri correctional center for 30days pending the DPP’s advise. Matter shall be adjourned till Jan 9th 2024”.
Oladele however, refered the case file to the Directorate of Public Prosecution for advise before adjourning till January 9, 2023.
The suspects were charged on six counts bordering on Felony, murder, conspiracy, armed robbery, illegal possession of firearms and impersonation by wearing a military camouflage uniform.
Recall that on 18th of September, 2023, the Lagos State Police command paraded three male suspects in connection with the robbery and murder of Yayi’s aide who was intercepted by some individuals at a checkpoint around New garage bus-stop, Berger.
Sanni was allegedly stabbed and shot on August 5, 2023 leading to his death.
