JUST IN: NNPC RAISES FUEL PRICE BY 15% PER LITRE
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has increased the price of gasoline at the pump by 14.8%.
The new fuel price in Lagos now stands at N998 per litre while it sells for N1,030 per litre in Abuja.
With this most recent increase, the price of gasoline has increased twice in the previous month.
The business raised the pump price to N897 per litre in September from N615 per litre.
Drivers complained about the ongoing hardship in the country as they left the NNPC Retail mega station in Abuja, where the price rise had taken effect, looking shocked.
“It’s beyond belief. I have been in the queue for almost an hour and I didn’t know they had increased the price. Tinubu is not concerned about our suffering”, a taxi driver, Usman Abah lamented.
