OYO POLICE DEPLOY PERSONNEL STATEWIDE TO ENSURE SECURITY DURING EID-EL-KABIR CELEBRATION

The Oyo State Police Command has deployed personnel to strategic locations across the 33 local government areas of the state to ensure public safety and maintain order during and after the upcoming Eid-El-Kabir celebration.
The deployment was confirmed on Thursday by the Commissioner of Police, Johnson Adenola, in a statement issued in Ibadan, the state capital. He said the proactive measure aims to ensure effective security coverage throughout the festive period.

CP Adenola directed Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Team Heads to implement comprehensive security protocols as part of the command’s strategy to deter criminal activity and guarantee the safety of residents.
“The command has emplaced comprehensive security protocols designed to protect strategic locations, including places of worship, public spaces, critical national assets, correctional institutions, media organizations, major highways, and all entry and exit points in the state,” he stated.
He further assured the public of the command’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property and urged residents to remain law-abiding and report any suspicious activities promptly.
