A short video showing a collision between a Tesla Cybertruck and a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon has gone viral, stirring a wave of reactions on social media, with many dubbing it a “luxury crash.”
While the exact circumstances of the accident remain unknown and no injuries have been reported as of press time, the incident has once again fueled online discussions about wealth and opulence on Nigerian roads.
The six-second clip, posted on X.com (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday by user #dammiedammie35, features a burgundy Cybertruck and a black G-Wagon involved in the crash.
“Cyber truck jam G-Wagon keh? Who go pay who like this?” the caption read, capturing the general mood of online spectators who were more intrigued by the high-value nature of the vehicles involved.
“That cyber truck won’t damage much but that g wagon go suffer from damage,” #Obaji_esq commented on X.com.
Another user, #Omolomo_o, wrote, “Na two rich people, dem go settle am,” while #Magik_jay_ added, “Them nor dey put mouth for rich man wahala.”
“That’s is what happens when the both of you are dragging who drives the bigger car. Who will give road for the other? How did this happen?” #TheRealGulu questioned.

On Instagram, #ekeneudemadu wrote, “This one na luxurious accident. Chai!”

#miltoncarologistics wrote, “Cyber truck & G wagon accident, omo when the parts of cyber truck never dey 9ja,” alluding to the difficulty of sourcing Tesla parts locally.
#bignameproperties predicted headaches for insurers handling the claim, saying, “Insurance company go take care of am. Insurance company eyes go dey comot water now.”
Many commenters also highlighted the absurdity of everyday people debating the woes of the elite.
#dimaluxuryh wrote on Instagram, “I no Dey like put mouth for issue wey I no fit afford.”

“If nah the real owners they go exchange contact but if nah drivers they go exchange blow,” Clinton Chinedu wrote on Facebook.
Back in March, a Cybertruck was reportedly torn in two during a crash in Texas involving an out-of-control Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
The accident occurred when the G-Wagon driver, said to have suffered a medical emergency, veered off the road and slammed into seven parked vehicles — one of which was a Cybertruck.
