CLUB WORLD CUP: CHELSEA DROPS FELIX, STERLING FROM SQUAD AS MAN CITY COMPLETE FOUR SIGNINGS

Chelsea has excluded João Félix and Raheem Sterling from their squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
The duo will not be part of new manager Enzo Maresca’s plans for the tournament, and the club is reportedly exploring transfer options for both the Portuguese and English forwards.
Felix’s former No. 14 shirt has already been reassigned to new signing Dário Essugo.
Meanwhile, Manchester City have finalized four signings ahead of the Club World Cup. The Premier League champions have added French playmaker Rayan Cherki from Lyon, Rayan Aït-Nouri from Wolves, goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli from Chelsea, and midfielder Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan.
Pep Guardiola, dissatisfied with his team’s form last season—highlighted by their FA Cup final loss to Crystal Palace—is looking to bounce back quickly.
With these reinforcements, City will aim to kick off their trophy campaign at the Club World Cup, which begins in a few days.
