BANDITS ATTACK TANGAZA LOCAL GOVT AREA IN SOKOTO, CLAIMS 15 LIVES

Equipped assailants assaulted the Tangaza Local Government Area of Sokoto State, resulting in the fatalities of 15 individuals, with numerous others sustaining diverse levels of injuries.
Regional reports indicated that the alleged perpetrators invaded Kwallaijiya village during the early hours of Wednesday and began firing indiscriminately, resulting in the deaths of more than 15 individuals.
Several members of the community conveyed apprehension regarding the ongoing violence in the region, claiming that certain individuals within segments of the community conspired with terrorists to perpetrate violence against residents in the area.

Community members asserted that the recent assault was executed by a gang of infamous marauders in the region recognized as Charambe.
The Executive Chairman of Tangaza Local Government Council, Isa Bashir Kalanjeni, headed a delegation to the village and participated in the collective interment of the victims.
The police in the state are yet to confirm the incident as the Command’s spokesperson was yet to respond to phone calls to his mobile lines.
