NIMC RESTORES NIN VERIFICATION SERVICES NATIONWIDE AFTER SYSTEM MAINTENANCE
By Aishat Momoh. O.
The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has fully restored its National Identification Number (NIN) verification services across Nigeria following the successful completion of a critical system maintenance exercise.
In a statement released on Friday, the Commission announced the resumption of all previously disrupted services, assuring Nigerians that full functionality has now been restored.
“NIMC wishes to inform the general public that the recent technical maintenance has been completed and all services have been restored,” the statement read.
The Commission urged Nigerians seeking NIN enrollment to visit its official website for information on the nearest enrollment centres. It also advised individuals needing to make data modifications such as name corrections to use its self-service portal.

As part of efforts to enhance service accessibility, NIMC encouraged the public to download the NIMC NameAuth app (oath.app) from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to verify and authenticate their NINs conveniently.
NIMC expressed gratitude for the public’s patience and cooperation during the disruption, which had impacted banking services, telecommunications, and other agencies dependent on the NIN verification infrastructure.
The restoration brings relief to millions of Nigerians who had faced delays in accessing essential services over the past week.
