With the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) approaching its grand finale, Morocco’s Ghizlane Chebbak and Senegal’s Nguenar Ndiaye currently lead the goal scorers chart, each having netted four goals.

Chebbak will have the chance to increase her goal tally as Morocco prepares to take on Nigeria in the highly anticipated final this weekend.
Ndiaye, on the other hand, will miss out on the chance to add to her goals after Senegal’s elimination earlier in the tournament.

As the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) draws to a close, Morocco’s Ghizlane Chebbak and Senegal’s Nguenar Ndiaye lead the tournament’s scoring chart with four goals each.

Chebbak will have the chance to add to her tally when Morocco takes on Nigeria in this weekend’s highly anticipated final. Ndiaye, however, won’t be able to increase her total following Senegal’s earlier exit from the competition.

Nigeria secured their spot in the final with a 2-0 win over defending champions South Africa in Tuesday’s semi-final, while Morocco earned their place by narrowly defeating Ghana later that evening.

Other notable scorers with two goals include Mama Diop (Senegal), Alice Kusi (Ghana), Aissata Traoré (Mali), and Morocco’s Yasmine Mrabet.

The battle for the Golden Boot adds an extra level of anticipation to Sunday’s final clash between tournament hosts Morocco and record titleholders Nigeria.
