70 per cent crime rate reduced in the third quarter, 2025 says the police command in yobe

The commissioner of police Emmanuel Ado, announced on Tuesday in Damaturu, that organised patrols, raid on criminal dens and enhanced visibility policing that organized patrol, raids on criminal dens and enhanced visibility policing across major town and village facilitated the drop in crimes

He stated that the accomplishment was attained through effective collaboration among the police, allied security agencies, vigilantes, and the active participation of the state’s residents.

Ado indicated that the command had implemented proactive security measures in preparation for the Ember months, a period when criminal activities typically escalate nationwide.

The initiatives, he noted, encompassed grassroots interactions with Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and officers responsible for outstations and outposts, to expedite analytical evaluations of crime patterns.

The commissioner praised the Yobe government for its assistance and encouraged residents of the state to remain vigilant and report any criminal or suspicious activities to the police.
