Elder statesman and President of Osisioma Foundation, Dr. Chike Obidigbo, has implored President Bola Tinubu to expeditiously embrace a political resolution to the predicament of the incarcerated chief of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, cautioning that inaction could destabilize the Southeast and initiate broader national anxieties.

He indicted Southeast politicians for their failure to advocate on Kanu’s behalf while their counterparts in other regions unite to resolve predicaments within their domains.

Obidigbo appended that numerous citizens, encompassing prominent leaders, have for an extended period advocated for a reconsideration of Nigeria’s political framework, especially after the 2014 culmination of the amalgamation endeavor.
“Why should Kanu endure double jeopardy for articulating his vexation over Nigeria’s inconsistencies? Is he the sole individual expressing such concerns regarding the misshapen entity known as Nigeria? ” he inquired.
The Osisioma Foundation chairman cautioned that persistent silence regarding Kanu’s predicament may propel Nigeria towards pandemonium. He cautioned that allowing the IPOB leader’s well-being to further degrade could spark civil discord akin to the tensions of yesteryear.
Obidigbo also voiced concern that the Nigerian media had not afforded ample attention to the matter, urging journalists and civic leaders to vocalize their opinions.
