Chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) across Jigawa State’s 27 Local Government Areas have passed a vote of confidence in the state chairman, Babandi Gumel, and former Governor Sule Lamido.

The declaration, made during a special meeting at the party’s state secretariat in Dutse on Tuesday, comes amid ongoing leadership disputes at the national level. The chairmen reaffirmed their allegiance to the party and its state leadership, urging members to remain united and focused on PDP’s goals.

Speaking on behalf of the chairmen, Sa’adu Barwa, chairman of the Dutse Local Government Chapter, described the vote as a show of loyalty and commitment to the party, while Adamu Muhd, Hadejia LGA chairman, called for members to emulate this unity.

The state chairman, represented by his deputy Umar Danjani, thanked the chairmen for their support and pledged to continue steering the party toward electoral success in Jigawa.
