TRIAL OF DRIVER IN FATAL CRASH THAT KILLED ANTHONY JOSHUA’S TRAINERS BEGINS TODAY

The trial of Adeniyi Kayode, the 46-year-old driver charged in connection with the fatal road accident that claimed the lives of Anthony Joshua’s personal trainer, Latif Ayodele, and strength and conditioning coach, Sina Ghami, is set to commence today at the Sagamu Magistrate Court in Ogun State.

Kayode is facing four counts, including dangerous driving causing death, reckless and negligent driving, driving without due care and attention, and driving without a valid national driver’s license.

The accident occurred on December 29, 2025, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and was reportedly caused by excessive speed and wrongful overtaking.

At his arraignment, the court granted Kayode bail in the sum of ₦5 million with two sureties, adjourning the matter to January 20, 2026, for the commencement of trial.
