KANO GOVERNMENT COMMISERATES WITH TRADERS OVER SINGER MARKET FIRE

The Kano State Government has expressed sympathy with traders affected by the fire outbreak that destroyed goods worth billions of naira at the popular Singer Market on Monday.
Governor Abba Yusuf, in a statement, described the incident as unfortunate and deeply distressing, assuring the affected traders of the state government’s solidarity and support as they cope with the aftermath of the disaster.
The governor said the administration would explore practical ways of assisting the victims in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to help cushion the impact of the losses recorded.
He also prayed for divine comfort and strength for the affected traders, expressing optimism that they would recover and replace their losses with better opportunities. Governor Yusuf reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the protection of lives and property across Kano State.
The state government further directed relevant authorities, particularly the Kano State Fire Service, to intensify fire prevention measures and public enlightenment campaigns in markets and other commercial centres across the state to avert future occurrences.
