FRSC ALERTS DRIVERS TO DANGERS OF SPEEDING AND DRUNK DRIVING THIS VALENTINE

The Shehu Mohammed, Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), has warned motorists against drunk driving, speeding, and reckless driving ahead of Valentine’s Day celebrations.
In a press statement released on Friday, Mohammed noted that the Corps has deployed operational and educational measures across the country to safeguard road users. He directed Commanding Officers to step up patrols to enhance visibility, traffic management, and strict enforcement of traffic laws.

He further stated that FRSC operatives have been instructed to make full use of breathalysers and radar guns to detect and stop suspected intoxicated drivers.
The Corps Marshal also called on road users to cooperate with FRSC personnel and report emergencies via the 122 toll-free line. Additionally, he urged parents and guardians to advise young people, who are particularly vulnerable during this festive period, to exercise caution on the roads.
