FOURTH QUARTER 2025 SEES NIGERIA’S NOMINAL GDP RISE TO N122.81 TRILLION

Nigeria’s nominal Gross Domestic Product (GDP) reached N122.81 trillion in the fourth quarter of 2025.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the country’s economy expanded by 4.07 percent in real terms. The nominal GDP rose by N9.22 trillion from N113.59 trillion recorded in Q4 2024.

The data revealed that the non-oil sector accounted for 97.13 percent of GDP, while the oil sector contributed 2.87 percent.

Further breakdown showed that services led GDP growth during the quarter with a 55.92 percent share, followed by agriculture at 28.66 percent and industries at 15.42 percent.

“The growth of the industry sector increased to 3.88 percent from 2.49 percent in Q4 2024, while the services sector recorded 4.15 percent growth compared to 4.75 percent in the same period of 2024,” the NBS report stated.

The media explained that nominal GDP represents the total value of goods and services produced within a country.
