2027 ELECTIONS: KADUNA GOVT DENIES CLAIM THAT UBA SANI ANOINTED POLITICAL ASPIRANTS

The Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, has strongly denied claims that he endorsed any candidates for the 2027 general elections.
A statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Ahmed Maiyaki, described the report as false, misleading, and entirely fabricated, urging the public to disregard it.
The statement also clarified that the governor has not endorsed or given preferential support to any individual seeking elective office.

According to the statement, Governor Sani remains committed to democratic principles, supporting a transparent, fair, and inclusive process that allows party members and stakeholders to select candidates through the constitutionally established mechanisms of the party.
“The attention of the Kaduna State Government has been drawn to a misleading message circulating on social media alleging that Governor Uba Sani has endorsed certain aspirants for elective positions. This claim is entirely false and should be disregarded,” the statement read.

It added that the governor is focused on governance and the implementation of policies and programs aimed at improving the welfare of Kaduna State residents, rather than engaging in premature political endorsements.
The government also warned against the deliberate spread of fake news and politically motivated misinformation, noting that such actions could create unnecessary tension and mislead the public.
The commissioner urged political actors, supporters, and members of the public to verify information from credible and official sources before sharing it, emphasizing that responsible communication is vital for peace and political stability in the state.
He reaffirmed that Governor Sani will continue to respect the democratic rights of all aspirants and party members while ensuring that political activities are guided by due process and the rule of law.
